Martin Kutz über "Conway's Angel Problem in Three Dimensions" Abstract. A few weeks ago [28 um genau zu sein; d. Red.] in our Mittagsseminar, I presented Conway's angel-devil problem, discussing angels running at fractional speed. This time we investigate the three-dimensional version of the game, which appears to be considerably simpler than the planar case. I present a strategy for the 13-angel to escape in space and point out why those techniques will probably not carry over to the two-dimensional problem. |
